In this workshop, you will learn how to work into deep hamstring openers and try advanced poses including bird of paradise, full and modified visvamitrasana, compass and standing compass, side plank holding the big toe, and more!
In this advanced backbend workshop, you'll learn how to flip your grip and explore deep backbends in your daily practice! Poses covered include mermaid + king dancer, mermaid + king pigeon, and how to practice drop backs for wheel and camel/kapotasana.
This hour long workshop focuses on the basics of headstand, including tripod headstand and supported headstand. You'll learn proper alignment as well as drills you can practice at home to help you safely master these poses!

Arm balances are a fun way to challenge your practice and get outside of your comfort zone, but the poses can often seem overwhelming and confusing. This workshop will help you overcome your fears by building a foundation for arm balancing and breaking down the fundamentals into easy steps. We'll explore the basics of crow pose, side crow, firefly, grasshopper and more! This workshop is appropriate for all levels, but some yoga experience is recommended.

TRANSPORTATION - HOW TO GET TO PRANAMAR
There are 2 domestic airlines in the country: Nature Air and Sansa. Both airlines fly from/to San Jose International Airport (SJO) to Tambor Airport (TMU) . You can check their schedules and book your tickets online. If their schedule does not fit your itinerary, another very good option is to charter a plane, which becomes monetarily convenient also when it is 4+ people. A private charter has more luggage allowance than the 30 pounds that are allowed per person by the local domestic airlines.
Flying to Tambor takes only 25 minutes. From Tambor, we can arrange a taxi for you, or we can have a car rental meet you and do the drive yourself. From Tambor it is a 50 minute drive to Pranamar.

Join Highland Yoga for a special celebration of the new year! On January 1 we'll move through 108 sun salutations and then join together in a group meditation to set our intentions for 2019. Start your year off right at Highland Yoga! Space is limited so please be sure to pre-register in advance.
This event is donation based, and a $10 minimum donation is required at registration. All proceeds go to benefit Centering Youth, a 501(c)(3) non-profit yoga service initiative that brings yoga and mindfulness to young people in the juvenile justice system and to those who have been sexually exploited, abused, or are homeless.
Help Caron raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Virtually every resident of Metro Atlanta will be touched by breast cancer in some form during their life. It’s a staggering fact: women in Atlanta are dying of breast cancer more often than women in the U.S. as a whole. As Atlanta’s largest breast health organization, Komen Atlanta is changing this statistic by fighting breast cancer on two fronts: at home by providing breast health and breast cancer services for those who cannot afford them, and globally through cutting edge research to find cures. But, they can’t do it alone. This October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Komen Atlanta invites Atlantans to join in the fight against breast cancer by taking fitness classes at our participating gyms in the month of October, all while fundraising for Komen Atlanta. Our fundraising goal of $250 will allow Komen Atlanta to provide free mammograms to two uninsured women in our community.

After the event, we will offer shelter tours and playtime in the AHS Puppy Room - the real happiest place on earth.
All ticket sales benefit the animals of the Atlanta Humane Society. Puppy yoga is for ages 18+. For the safety of the Atlanta Humane Society pups, no outside animals are permitted.

Fly into Belize City International Airport
To reach Ak’Bol from the airport, two options:
1. Tropic air (this is the easiest option):
Ak'bol will reserve ALL Tropic air tickets for group directly from Belize City International Airport to San Pedro $157.75US RT pp The tickets are reserved by Ak'boL so there is no waiting, and guests will pay for their tickets directly at check in before boarding the plane, with CC or cash.
2. Water Taxi:
Take a $25-30 US taxi directly from International airport to the water taxi terminal in Belize City (approx. 30 minutes).
The boat ride over is $15US one way per person and roughly a 1 1/2 hour ride.
There is a daily schedule and two water taxis, both are walking distance away from one another. We recommended taking Tropic air over if landing after 3pm so guests can arrive to Ak'bol in time for the Welcome Dinner at 6pm.
From San Pedro town to Ak'bol:
When guests arrive to San Pedro, it is easiest to take any land taxi directly from town to Ak'boL roughly $15-17US one way, paid directly to taxi driver negotiate first for less disappointments. Day before departure we will organize taxi pick ups for the way home to be paid directly to taxi driver $15US+up depending on number, guests can share expense.
